Eaton ePDU G3 Managed: outlet-level control and metering
Managed is the most capable tier of the ePDU G3 platform: remote reboot per outlet, outlet-level power quality measurement, and a colour LCD with network ports. EMAT08-10 and EMAT09-10 are the two references we could source specifications for; EMAB, EMAH and EMOB codes named in our product list have no confirmed specification yet.

Which one should you choose?
Outlet-level control is for the rack where an incident has a cost
Rebooting a single hung server without touching the rest of the rack is the feature that separates Managed from Metered Input. If downtime on that rack has a direct cost, the ability to fix a hung device from a phone at 2 a.m. is usually worth the price step.
Turning off unused outlets is a security control, not just a convenience
Managed lets you disable outlets that should not be powered, preventing unauthorised equipment from being plugged in and drawing power unnoticed. In a colocation or shared-access environment, that is a real control an auditor will ask about.
The two references we hold differ mainly in current rating
EMAT08-10 is rated 12 A at 120 V with a NEMA 5-15P plug; EMAT09-10 is rated 16 A at 120 V with a NEMA L5-20P plug. Both are single-phase, 1U, eight outlets. The choice between them is the branch circuit they will be plugged into, not a feature difference.
EMAB, EMAH and EMOB are named but unconfirmed
These three references appear in our product records as part of the Managed / Metered Outlet family but we could not obtain a specification for them from Eaton’s site or from a distributor listing. Send us the load and outlet requirement and we will confirm the exact reference with Eaton before quoting.
Network ports are dual, which matters for isolated management networks
The colour LCD unit carries two Ethernet ports rather than one, so the PDU can sit on two separate networks at once, for example a production monitoring VLAN and a dedicated out-of-band management network, without needing an external switch to bridge them.
Where it fits, and where it does not
Fits a rack where an incident’s downtime cost justifies remote reboot, or where outlet-level security control is required. Does not fit a rack where Metered Input’s visibility alone is enough.
