Schneider Electric Basic Rack PDU: unmetered power distribution
The Basic Rack PDU family is unmetered power distribution: no display, no network card, no per-outlet control. It exists for racks where the only requirement is reliable outlets at the right current and plug, and where the cost of a switched or metered unit is not justified by the load behind it.

Which one should you choose?
The decision to skip metering should be deliberate
A basic unit is cheaper up front but gives no visibility into load, which matters if the circuit is shared with other racks or if capacity planning depends on real usage data. Choose basic only when the load is fixed and known, not as a default to save cost on every rack.
Vertical 0U and horizontal 1U/2U serve different rack layouts
A 0U unit mounts in the rear of the rack and consumes no usable rack space, the usual choice when U space is scarce. A 1U or 2U horizontal unit sits in the front U space, which is simpler to reach for a small number of outlets but competes with equipment for rack height. Match the form to how full the rack already is.
Plug type is fixed by region, not by preference
AP7541 uses an IEC 309 32 A plug for the LAM/EMEA/GCN/APJ market, while AP6032A serves the same rating differently by region. Ordering the wrong regional variant means a PDU that cannot be plugged into the switchboard it arrives at. Confirm the site’s plug standard before ordering, not after delivery.
A basic unit can still be replaced later with a smart one
If the mounting position and outlet count match a metered or switched model in the same physical family, upgrading later is a straightforward swap rather than a redesign. Ask us to confirm mechanical compatibility with the 9000 Series before committing to basic if an upgrade is even a possibility.
AP9567 is named but not in the table we hold
AP9567 is listed in our product records but the pocket guide we hold does not carry its electrical specification. We have not estimated a value for it; ask us and we will confirm the rating with Schneider Electric before quoting.
Where it fits, and where it does not
Fits a rack with a fixed, known load where outlet reliability matters more than visibility or remote control. Does not fit a shared circuit or a rack where capacity planning depends on metered data.
