Socomec SIRCOVER: manual transfer switch, 125 to 3200 A

SIRCOVER is the manual counterpart of Socomec’s automatic ATyS range, covering the same 125 to 3200 A current span but requiring a person to operate the changeover rather than automatic control logic. We have not checked a datasheet for this line; the range comes from our internal product list.

SIRCOVER is the manual (non-automatic) counterpart of the ATyS range, for sites that want a physical changeover without automatic control logic. No PDF was checked; the range comes from our internal product list only. An en dash means the manufacturer does not publish that value in the source we hold; we do not fill it in with an estimate. Confirm every figure against the current manufacturer document before it is written into a contract.

The references we quote in this family are SIRCOVER. Send us the load, the phase and the transfer requirement, and we will confirm availability and lead time.

Which one should you choose?

Manual-only is a deliberate choice for some sites, not a lesser option

A site that always has staff present to operate a changeover, or that specifically wants a human decision point before switching sources, may prefer SIRCOVER’s manual operation over an automatic ATyS reference. This is a deliberate operational choice, not simply the cheaper option because it lacks automation.

Verify the exact rating and mechanism with Socomec before quoting

Because we have not confirmed a datasheet for SIRCOVER specifically, treat the 125-3200 A figure as the general range rather than a guaranteed per-model rating. Confirm the exact model and operating mechanism with Socomec for the load in question before it goes into a proposal.

The manual lever’s on/off/on labelling makes the operating sequence unambiguous

SIRCOVER’s handle is clearly marked for the two source positions and the off position in between, which reduces the chance of an operator error during a manual changeover compared to an unmarked or ambiguous lever. This is a meaningful safety detail for a device whose entire function depends on correct manual operation.

A lifting-ready enclosure tells you something about expected installation weight

Larger SIRCOVER references ship in enclosures built for crane or hoist handling during installation, which is a useful early signal to the installation team that this is not a two-person lift-and-place job at the higher current ratings in the range.

Where it fits, and where it does not

Fits a site that deliberately wants a manual, staffed changeover decision rather than automatic transfer logic. Does not fit a site that needs the changeover to happen without a person present; see the automatic ATyS t/g or p M families for that.

What we need in order to quote it

  • Load current within the 125 to 3200 A range
  • Confirmation of the exact model and mechanism with Socomec
  • Whether staff will always be present to operate the changeover
  • Panel dimensions at the installation site
