APC NetShelter Rack ATS 2G: next-generation 0U/1U switches

Rack ATS 2G (AP44ES, AP4450A) is the next generation of the standard NetShelter Rack ATS platform, in the 16-20 A range. We have not checked a datasheet or manufacturer web page for this pair; the codes and current range come from our internal product list.

No PDF or manufacturer web page was checked for this next-generation pair; the code names and the 16–20 A range come from our internal product list only. Confirm all fields with Schneider Electric before quoting. An en dash means the manufacturer does not publish that value in the source we hold; we do not fill it in with an estimate. Confirm every figure against the current manufacturer document before it is written into a contract.

The references we quote in this family are AP44ES and AP4450A. Send us the load, the phase and the transfer requirement, and we will confirm availability and lead time.

Which one should you choose?

Treat this as a newer sibling of the standard line, not a separate product family

The 2G naming signals a platform refresh of the same NetShelter Rack ATS concept documented on the standard line’s page, not a different architecture. If a quote calls for the 2G codes specifically, expect the underlying feature set (network management, 0U/1U mounting) to be similar.

Do not quote a full spec without confirming it first

Because we have not verified this pair against a datasheet, do not carry over AP4423/AP4450’s confirmed figures onto AP44ES/AP4450A in a proposal. Ask us to confirm the exact configuration with Schneider Electric before it goes into a contract.

16-20 A sits between the standard line’s two documented tiers

The standard NetShelter Rack ATS line’s confirmed references span roughly 12 to 16 A; a 16-20 A range for the 2G pair suggests a modest step up rather than a different capacity class, useful context when comparing against the standard line for a given load.

Ask us for the current lead time before committing to 2G over the standard line

Because this is a newer platform refresh, stock availability and lead time can differ meaningfully from the well-established standard NetShelter Rack ATS codes. If the project timeline is tight, check availability for both the 2G pair and the standard AP4423/AP4450 references before finalising the specification.

Where it fits, and where it does not

Fits a customer who specifically asks for the 2G reference by name. Does not fit a quote where the standard NetShelter Rack ATS line’s confirmed AP4423/AP4450 figures are an acceptable substitute; use the documented line when the exact 2G configuration is not required.

What we need in order to quote it

  • Confirmation with Schneider Electric that the 2G reference is specifically required
  • Load current and voltage at the site
  • Whether network management is needed
  • Rack space available (0U or 1U)
