Huawei UPS5000-H: 400 to 1200 kVA

UPS5000-H covers 400 to 1200 kVA and is the large-capacity member of Huawei’s UPS5000 platform. Where UPS5000-E serves the 30 to 800 kVA span, the H series continues upward for data halls whose load is committed rather than speculative. Sharing a platform across both ranges is the practical reason a group standardises here.

Source of the values: Huawei UPS5000-H (400-1600 kVA) urun tanimi. An en dash means the manufacturer does not publish that value; we do not fill it in with an estimate. Confirm every figure against the current manufacturer document before it is written into a contract.

The references we quote in this family are UPS5000-H-400k, UPS5000-H-600k, UPS5000-H-800k and UPS5000-H-1200k. Send us the reference if you already have one, or the load in kW and the runtime if you do not, and we will confirm availability and lead time.

Which one should you choose?

Platform continuity across a fleet

An operator running several sites often has a 100 kVA room and a 1000 kVA hall. Keeping both on the UPS5000 platform means one monitoring integration, one set of spares logic and one body of operator knowledge. Over a decade that saving usually exceeds any per-site price difference.

Committed load, not speculative

At 400 kVA and above the frame is sized for a load the business has decided on. If the figure is still an estimate, size conservatively and plan the second frame rather than buying a ceiling you may never reach and running the unit at a poor load factor for years.

Battery room comes with the decision

A frame of this rating needs a battery arrangement whose footprint, ventilation and floor loading are settled with the electrical design. Decide the battery technology at the same time as the frame, not after the layout is drawn.

Monitoring integration is a project item

At this capacity the UPS is expected to report into a building or data centre management platform rather than only to a local display. Confirm which protocol your platform speaks before ordering; the communication interface is a configuration item and retrofitting it means opening a live unit.

Delivery and site access

A frame at this rating ships in sections and is assembled on site. Crane access, door dimensions, lift capacity and the floor route are part of the delivery programme, not an afterthought. On an export project confirm each of them from the port to the plant room, because an obstacle discovered late costs weeks.

Where it fits, and where it does not

Fits a data hall between 400 and 1200 kVA with a committed load and a designed power train. Does not fit a room whose load is under 400 kVA, where UPS5000-E is the correct member of the same platform.

What we need in order to quote it

  • Load in kVA and kW, with the power factor stated
  • Redundancy topology and whether frames will be paralleled
  • Battery technology and the runtime target
  • Room allocated to the battery and its ventilation
  • Monitoring platform the UPS must report into
