Which one should you choose?
Remotely-operated means the switching components integrate the drive, not that it lacks local control
The disconnect and switching components are integrated in the ATyS S body itself, which reduces the wiring and footprint compared to a separate motor-drive mechanism bolted onto a standard switch. This is a mechanical design choice, not a statement about how the switch is normally operated day to day.
This is sized for small genset backup, not a large facility transfer
At up to 125 A, ATyS S fits a small building or a single critical circuit backed by a genset, not a facility-wide transfer. For a larger genset or transformer management role, the ATyS t/g family covers 125 to 3200 A instead.
The dual power supply variant protects the control circuit, not the load circuit
ATyS d S’s DPS option is about ensuring the switch’s own control electronics stay powered from either source, which matters in an edge case where the control circuit’s single power feed could otherwise fail independently of the main transfer logic. Ask about this specifically if the installation has a documented history of control-power issues.
Confirm the exact ATyS S current rating against the 125 A ceiling before ordering
The datasheet we hold confirms the family tops out at 125 A but the specific reference shown in Socomec’s own material (a 40 A model) illustrates that the range includes smaller ratings too. Confirm the exact amperage needed rather than assuming every ATyS S unit is rated at the family ceiling.
