xFusion FusionServer rack: 1288H, 2288H, 2488H and 5288 V7
FusionServer covers 1U to 4U on 4th/5th generation Xeon Scalable: 1288H V7 (1U, dual-socket), 2288H V7 (2U, dual-socket, up to 45 drives), 2488H V7 (2U, four-socket mission-critical) and 5288 V7 (4U, storage-dense). The manufacturer of record on the current datasheet is xFusion, not Huawei; see the note below.

Which one should you choose?
A brand transition worth knowing before you quote
This line was formerly sold as Huawei FusionServer. The current datasheet’s copyright holder is XFUSION INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD.; Huawei’s x86 server business was spun off into this independent company. We quote the current xFusion brand name on new orders; if a customer’s existing installation or prior quotation says Huawei FusionServer, it is the same product line under its previous name.
2288H V7’s drive flexibility spans four chassis configurations
2288H V7 ships in 8, 12, 24 or 25-drive chassis variants from the same 2U platform, reaching up to 45x 2.5-inch drives or 28x NVMe SSDs depending on configuration; decide the drive count at order time since the chassis variant is fixed, not a field upgrade.
2488H V7’s four-socket role is mission-critical, not general virtualization
2488H V7 is positioned specifically for mission-critical enterprise and telecom workloads that need four-socket memory scale in 2U; a denser four-socket form factor than most competitors’ 4U four-socket machines. Confirm the actual memory and reliability requirement before defaulting to four sockets for a workload that a dual-socket 2288H V7 could handle.
2288H V7’s network FlexIO slots are dedicated, not shared with standard PCIe
Two FlexIO slots dedicated to OCP 3.0 NICs, separate from the 17 standard PCIe slots, mean the networking configuration does not compete with storage or GPU cards for slot space; plan the OCP NIC speed independently of the rest of the PCIe budget.
Where it fits, and where it does not
Fits a data hall wanting an Intel Xeon rack platform spanning 1U to 4U with a four-socket mission-critical option in 2U. Does not fit a customer who specifically needs the previous Huawei-branded contract terms; confirm the current xFusion entity is acceptable before quoting.
